Heart attack - is a clinically known as coronary thrombosis, occurs when the arteries leading to the heart are blocked by contraction a blood clot or cholesterol. In either case the heart will not receive enough blood for it to function properly. As a general rule the possibility of a heart attack increases with age. But many victims of heart attacks recover completely and go on to lead normal healthy lives. Heavy smoking greatly increases the risk of a heart attack. Sudden bouts of exercise in older people can also be risky.
